FACE IS THE CURRENCY OF ADVANCEMENT

“Face” – a cliché, but it is so true- is the currency of advancement. It is like a social bank account. You spend it, you save it and you invest. When you take away somebody’s face, you take away someone’s fundamental sense of security. You make someone lose face if you make them feel that they are given a wrong or silly answer.

We should understand during the communication with people that it is all about face- giving face, getting face, saving face and not letting that person lose face- then we are all covered.

A person’s face can do more than mirror the individual’s mood. It can create a mood for that individual. So be careful and set the tone for your day with a happy, confident face and good things are likely to follow.
Before you are ready to face a client, boss or competitor, you have got to think about one thing: your face! Put your best face forward during interview, sales call meeting agenda, speech, business communication etc. For effective communication, this is considered a magic tool.

Never forget that the face includes the eyes. Cicero said it well: “The eyes are windows to the soul”. If you are hiding something, but your eyes always speak truth.
Here I am going to tell you different eye movement depicts what?

  • Shifty Eyes- it shows you are hiding something.
  • Blink Eyes excessively- it shows you are insecure.
  • Steady Eye contact- it reflects credibility.

I hope, all this information will help you to understand that the Etiquette of “saving face” is still true.

In next post, I shall discuss how to communicate with impact.

BUSINESS PSYCHOLOGY

How to prepare list of evaluation?

Prepare a list that is made up of simple things. This list should be prepared after every maximum and minimum 100 days of work. This will motivate you and restore confidence.

  1. Write down all the wrong doings in the last 100 days. Let’s get rid of those. Nail your pain points and say “OK, what needs to be done to make sure that does not happen again?”  This should be the major part of the list.
  2. Another significant part of the list is the personal growth stuff, which everybody must include on their list. You want to advance. You want to grow as a person. There are things you want to get better at. Analyse yourself at this stage honestly and let you know yourself about personal growth and involve yourself in personal growth activities and personality development. Self improvement can do wonders for your organisation.
  3. Develop a mechanism for future activities keeping in mind the prior mistakes and blunders.
  4. Goal setting should be more or less realistic. Make it sure that every worker of the company knows the targets and the thinking of the company.

They have to ensure that they are restless themselves as individual, because they are certainly demanding it of other people. So at this stage, reinventing yourself is important.

RIGHT CANDIDATE FOR RIGHT POST

When you enter to the world of business, your firm or organisation needs talented, capable and workaholic team of workers. For this purpose, head of the firm conducts interviews to select right candidate for the right post. In this case, he has to be cautious and this is considered the most important milestone of a business. If selection is made with razor sharp mind, the firm can break  all the previous records.

Approach to Managing People:
Most important tactic of running a good business is what is Director’s approach to manage his people? Try to uncover what people are really good at doing and then give them a hell of a lot of that to do. Truly it works!
Never be sort of person who believe in obsessing over trying to get people to do things that they are no good at anyway.
